What is FaceTite?

A normal part of the body's natural aging process involves the slowing of collagen and elastin production in the epidermis. The end result is more visible creases, wrinkles, and lines, in addition to loose skin on the chin, neck, and jowls. To combat these signs of aging, VIP Cosmetic Surgery offers FaceTite. This premier nonsurgical procedure, recommended by oculoplastic surgeon Dr. Kenneth Farr, uses radiofrequency-guided lipolysis to melt and dislodge fat cells, causing your skin to firm and allowing collagen to be created at a much faster rate. You can enjoy a tighter, more youthful facial appearance, which has fewer wrinkles without experiencing the invasiveness and downtime associated with cosmetic surgery. In addition, we can use incorporate AccuTite to address small, delicate areas on the face. We invite you to schedule a consultation at our Bluffton, SC practice to find out more about FaceTite and its benefits.

  • Removal of excess, sagging skin

Who is an Ideal Candidate for FaceTite?

FaceTite is usually a great choice for smaller, more delicate areas, such as the lines that form around your mouth and below the eyes, as well as the loose skin around the neck and chin region. You're an ideal candidate for this procedure if you are experiencing early signs of aging and want to increase collagen production to achieve tighter skin. In order to receive this treatment, you should not be pregnant or have undergone cosmetic injections performed during the last 6 – 8 months. An appointment with Dr. Farr can help determine if you are a candidate for this procedure.

how does facetite work?

FaceTite employs a minimally invasive technique that involves placing a tiny cannula underneath your skin while using local anesthesia. Once the cannula is placed, the temperature can be controlled and monitored through internal and external thermometers to make certain the heat stays at a comfortable level. The radiofrequency energy will target fat cells and cause your skin to contract, prompting an increase in collagen production. Sessions typically last about 45 minutes per treatment area. AccuTite can also be included as an add-on service to provide even more dramatic results.

After your session, you'll be sent home to rest for the remainder of the day wearing a compression garment. You should be able to return to your normal routine by the following day. It will take approximately three days for any redness or swelling to subside. Strenuous activities should be avoided for about 1 – 2 weeks. While some results will be seen right away, greater improvements will occur over the next 3 – 8 weeks. FaceTite results are long-lasting if you maintain a stable weight.

What can I expect after my FaceTite procedure?

As FaceTite is a surgical procedure, there are some strict protocol that we recommend following closely in the days after your treatment. For the first 48 hours, you may want to stick with soft foods to avoid chewing and disrupting your face. In addition, steer clear of the incision points to prevent infection and encourage healing. You will be able to apply makeup 3 days after treatment, but we recommend avoiding drying products such as salicylic acid, glycolic acid, and retinols until cleared by Dr. Farr. You should plan to be in recovery for at least 2 weeks following treatment.

FaceTite FAQ

How much does a FaceTite treatment usually cost?

The cost of your FaceTite treatment will depend on your aesthetic goals, the health of your skin, and the severity of your skin condition. During your consultation with Dr. Farr, he will listen to your goals and assess the condition of your skin. He will then be able to create a personalized FaceTite treatment plan and estimate your costs based on what you want to accomplish.

Should I get a surgical facelift or FaceTite?

Surgical facelifts are the best option for more severe wrinkles, lines, and sagging skin to achieve a tighter appearance. However, FaceTite is able to achieve dramatic results without the pain, recovery time, and cost associated with plastic surgery. If you aren’t quite ready for facelift surgery, FaceTite is an excellent choice.

Can BOTOX® or fillers be used with FaceTite?

Yes, they can. Many patients opt to combine their FaceTite treatments with wrinkle relaxers like BOTOX or dermal fillers like JUVÉDERM® to achieve even better results to reduce lines and wrinkles and tighten skin for a rejuvenated look. During your consultation, ask Dr. Farr about combining treatments to enhance your results. In most cases, the FaceTite treatment is performed first, then after a day or two, or even up to a week, later, the injectable treatments are done.

How many FaceTite treatments will I need to see results?

It will depend on the condition of your skin, but many patients can see results after only one treatment. In most cases, you’ll need multiple treatments to reach your aesthetic goals. As your skin begins to respond to the FaceTite treatment by producing new collagen and elastin, you will continue to see improvement in the tightness and look of your skin.

How long do FaceTite results last?

No aesthetic skin tightening treatment is permanent as the aging process is constant. However, the results of a FaceTite treatment are long-lasting, with some patients seeing results that last years, and in some cases, up to five years.
